An operando experiment directly correlates structures and structural changes with the performance data. Our work focuses on real structure analysis and operando electron microscopy experiments, which we extend using complementary methods to increase the depth of interpretation and advance chemical understanding for battery and catalysis sciences. We combine theses analytical approaches with solid-state chemistry to synthesis dedicated functional materials.
The Chair is part of the Faculty of Biology, Chemistry, and Earth Sciences as well as the Bavarian Center for Battery Technology (BayBatt) at the University of Bayreuth. We are funded by the High-Tech Agenda of the Free State of Bavaria.
